Introducing: The Palace Project

Palace is a simple way to begin reading eBooks or eAudios on your device. Find your library, enter your barcode, and begin reading in less than three taps on the screen. Simply download the Palace App from your device’s app store and have access to over 15,000 eBooks and eAudio titles.

Gingerbread Village

The Friends of the Levi E. Coe Library are seeking entries for the 2nd annual Gingerbread Village. Please call or message the library to register! Consider constructing a firehouse, a church, a school, a ski slope, your home or even your favorite library! Bring your completed Gingerbread structure to the Library between Monday, November 28th and Saturday, December 3rd. The village will be on display and voting for your favorite house will be from Monday, December 5th to Saturday, December 17th at the Library during open hours.

AtoZ Food America database

Explore food culture and traditional recipes from around the country. This exciting new resource contains more than 2,000 state, regional, and ethnic recipes as well as historical articles and an ingredients section. This database is accessible in the library or from home with your library card. This project is supported by a grant from the Coginchaug Valley Education Foundation. Middlefield Lions Club Recycling Challenge

Collection boxes are located in the library’s upper lobby. The Lions Club goal is to collect 500 pounds of plastic material so Trex will award their club with a composite bench to add to our community. All plastic must be clean, dry and free of food residue. Qualifying plastics include: grocery bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, ice bags, plastic shipping envelopes, ziploc and other reclosable food storage bags, cereal bags, case overwrap, salt bags, pallet wrap, wood pellet bags, and produce bags.

Open Sew at Levi Coe

Bring your machine, handwork, or small craft. Open sew will take place on the first Saturday of every month. Our next open sew is scheduled for Saturday, January 7th from 10 AM-5 PM at the library. Come for an hour, come for the day! Please bring your own materials, extension cords, sewing machines, etc. Please call to reserve your spot, space is limited.

Stamping Kits

Available to check out! Stamping Kits–Everything you need to create cards or for scrapbooking. Each kit comes with clear stamps, acrylic blocks, ink pads, and decorative edge scissors. Choose from Birthday/Friendship, Get Well/Sympathy, Thank You, Wedding/New Baby, Valentine’s, Halloween/Fall, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.
