Passport to CT Libraries 2024
Participate between April 1st to 30th for a chance to win a $200 Visa gift card! Over 150 Connecticut library locations are participating in this program. Start at the Levi E. Coe Library to pick up your passport. We will stamp your passport and give you a token gift to get started. Visit other participating libraries to get your passport stamped. Visit at least 5 participating libraries to enter the drawing. There is also a drawing for the patron who has visited the most eligible libraries. Turn in your completed passport to any participating library by Friday, May 10th. Winners will be notified by Friday, June 14th. This program is open to all ages.
Stop by the library after April 1st to pick up your passport, a list of participating libraries and your token gift!
Senior Center Book Club at the Library
Join us Tuesday, May 14th at 2 PM at the library to discuss If You Tell by Gregg Olsen. Copies of this title will be available at the library.
Recycling at the Library
Look for the red bucket in the library’s upper lobby! Do you have any old pens, markers, applesauce pouches, or toothpaste tubes? Sara Hofferd has placed a drop off space for these recyclables and more. If you’re wondering if your plastic items can be left in the red bucket, check https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/brigades
Stamping Kits
Available to check out! Stamping Kits–Everything you need to create cards or for scrapbooking. Each kit comes with clear stamps, acrylic blocks, ink pads, and decorative edge scissors. Choose from Birthday/Friendship, Get Well/Sympathy, Thank You, Wedding/New Baby, Valentine’s, Halloween/Fall, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.

Retired Flag Collection
Do you have a United States flag which has become tattered or soiled? If you have a flag in need of retirement, please stop by the Library. Boy Scout Troop 270’s Nick Planeta has built a collection bin for such flags. As his Eagle Scout Project, Nick plans to retire these flags in a respectful, traditional way.

Doxie Flip Scanner–Now Available to Check Out
Got Old Photos? Children’s Artwork? Ticket Stubs? Do you want to preserve them for yourself and future generations? Stop by the library and take home our Doxie Flip Scanner. Gather your old photographs and other memorabilia and scan them with the Doxie Flip. The images are saved to an SD card, which you can then import to your home computer. After installing the Doxie software, you can organize your scans, crop, rotate, adjust the color, stitch multiple scans together, and upload to social media or other apps.
